Country singer Jelly Roll says Beyoncé had CMA-worthy songs on ‘Cowboy Carter’ and goes on to explain why her snub was not “malicious.” Easy for him to say! Wasn't he originally a failed rapper who later ventured into country music? A lot of people feel Beyoncé's foray into country music isn't authentic. However, she is a Black woman from Houston Texas with family ties to Louisiana and Alabama. The album wasn't great but truth be told, Country music has been in that woman's blood the entire time!

The album was fire! I enjoyed it more than Renaissance which was geared more towards the LGBT crowd which is fine. Just didn't hit like it did for others despite me still being able to appreciate it as a great body of work. I guess that's the same for you. As I've noticed over the years unless it's pop or 90s/2000s rnb you don't appreciate it.
