Khia doesn't consider Cassie to be a victim because she stayed with Diddy for over a decade. In some triggering footage, she can be heard yelling, “she wanted fame! You can’t say you were held hostage for 10 years!” Is she hearing herself? So many women stay in abusive relationships out of fear. She was also probably under contract so walking away from him would not have been so cut and dry. Let's not forget, this man was super powerful. No one would dare challenge him during the height of his popularity and prestige. He made people disappear. He took back careers he felt he harvested.

Toya, I don't condone any type of abuse. However, we were introduced to Cassie through Ryan Leslie, his production, & his label "Next Selection!" After her performances & album flopped in 2006, she parts ways with Ryan Leslie as he became his own artist & Cassie stayed with Diddy & BAD BOY & was jet-setting around the world & going to all the A-list events with FLOP ALBUMS & FLOP SINGLES!
If ya'll can call out artists like Rita Ora for flopping but still receiving the A-list perks, we gotta tell the truth about Cassie WITHOUT making light of the video. Cassie was Rita Ora before Rita Ora. A One-Hit Wonder getting A-list perks because of Diddy!
A-List perks or not - nobody has the right to abuse their position of power over somebody else. Sounds like condoning/victim blaming to me.
I agree wholeheartedly, but reading Toya's post, it's stated that Cassie might have been in a contract that she couldn't get out of! The point of the comment above seems that Cassie's contract was a decade before the abusive video. Cassie's deal could've ended after her 1st album came out in 2006, but she probably thought dating Diddy would've granted her some security at the time. Turns out, it didn't, as we can see now.
Excuse me, Khia told no lies. Toya your reasoning was just plain stupid!!
