When Taylor Swift officially endorsed presidential candidate Kamala Harris, it made serious headlines. Such an endorsement was major because Taylor Swift isn't just the bigget pop star on the planet, she is the most influential. Her fanbase is an actual cult putting it mildly. So much that her social media post endorsing Kamala led directly to over 337K people visiting vote.gov. Over a quarter of a million people are potentially going to vote because Taylor Swift told them to.
That is absolutely insane for a pop star to wield that type of power and impact! But this endorsement didn't go down so well with Trump and his reaction came with a threat. When asked what he thinks of Taylor endorsing Harris he made it clear that he didn’t even bother to read her three paragraph statement and falsely asserts she’ll “pay a heavy price for it in the marketplace.” Taylor Swift will be fine. I'm not a fan but her career will not tank over this. She endorsed both Joe Biden and Harris in 2020 and has gone on to become a billionaire.
Trump's reaction came with a stern warning:
I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was only a matter of time. You couldn’t possibly endorse Biden. But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace. But I Like Britanny [Mahomes]. Britanny is great. She’s the one I like much better than Taylor Swift. Wife of the great quarterback. I think she’s terrific.
I'm sure she's aware that a large portion of her fanbase are Donald Trump supporters. She will probably lose them, but her moral beliefs had to come first. A lot of people would respect her for that. Trump is being his usual petty Betty self, but everyone knows if Swift's endorsement went to him instead, he'd be creaming his pants. He's excited for a Brittany Mahomes endorsement but lets be real here. Mahomes is a nobody compared to Taylor Swift.

He may be right. The woman is a billionaire though, doubt she'll lose any sleep over any penalty she may suffer.
