Chlöe Bailey clearly thinks she’s at that level where she can just drop an album out of the blue without a hit single or some type of promotion.
It was recently announced that her second album ‘Trouble In Paradise’ would be dropping this Friday on August 9th. Concerned fans are predicting that the lack of time and promotion will reflect in her sales.
But Chlöe is simply not trying to hear it...

Brands pay Chloe, Halle, Normani, Saweetie & Meg Thee Stallion strictly off of their social media following! That's why they feel they don't need a Hot 100 top 10 hit record or big album sales!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why sweetie wanna be a rapper. She makes millions of brand-deals. I recently just say she has a collaboration with Louis Vuitton.
DeleteThe crazy thing is that Saweetie's songs are not as bad as social media makes them out to be. Of all the current female rappers, her music is actually the most sonically pleasing.
DeleteAbsolutely agreed with her here. This “Taylor Swift/streaming era generation” seems to be soo focused on sales it’s crazy!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to listening to an actual album & judge it on its quality instead of charts position?
People would be surprised to know how many of the classics didn’t chart as high as they think.
In the case of Chloe: she has a social media presence, brand deals, actress with few projects line up, sought performer for tributes, magazine deals & about to put out her 2nd album.
Indeed, what’s the definition of “flopping” then here?
Let artists be artists & developed.
Just because u’re charting high doesnt mean the quality is there (ice spice is the perfect example).
Flopping is defined as what she’s about to do with this album
ReplyDeleteThe album is disappointing.
ReplyDeleteThe album is a gem. And tbh I didn't expect it to be one.
ReplyDeleteWhat is flopping? Seriously, deluluuuu. Demand better mentorship. Beyonce is not doing her job. I feel so bad for Chloe. She's clearly talented - I hope one day everything aligns for her and she makes something on a par with 'Never Say Never'. It's like she's not aiming high. Where are her classic songs that will stand the test of time? TIP needed refinement, massively. So disappointing. But I guess it's good she's releasing content. But there's zero strategy. If the independent artists can work the system, Chloe should be able to with the resources she has.
