Yiiikes. Jennifer Lopez has cancelled her 2024 North American tour. Representatives for Live Nation confirm in a statement: “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.” Lopez offered her own statement to fans on her OntheJLo website and newsletter, writing, “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary." The tour was in support of her new album “This Is Me... Now” which was released early this year, 20 years after her hit album, “This Is Me... Then.” The tour was scheduled to kick off on June 26th in Orlando, Florida, and conclude in Houston on August 31st. Live Nation shared that attendees who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded.
Such a cop-out response. You don't cancel an entire tour just to “spend time with family and friends” especially given the time you have dedicated to dance rehearsals and production preparation. This has to do with her marriage being on the rocks (and lukewarm ticket sales in some cities). I take no pleasure in seeing her humbled this way, but going the PR route with Ben as opposed to just keeping their reunion lowkey and private was a massive mistake. She clearly did not learn her lesson after what happened the first time.

People are super cruel. The album genuinely isn't that bad. It is maybe a decade or 15 years late. She absolutely should not have bothered with the cirngey monologue about rekindling with Ben. It's just too much. I feel for her, I do, ever body wants to find that forever love. She's a lost soul. But everyone is ridiculously cruel. She didn't screw Mariah over... That was Tommy Mottola.
