"The stigma and misconception is that people that wear wigs don't have long and healthy hair. That's bullsh*t, because it ain't nobody business!"
After wearing wigs and extensions for many years, Beyoncé gave fans a look at her luscious, long and natural hair while promoting her new line, Cécred.
In a new promotional video posted to her Instagram, Beyoncé showed off her very lengthy, healthy hair which is usually concealed in protective styles. Her hair is stunning and people thinking she was bald underneath the wigs must not have seen Bey in her childhood and teen years. Beyoncé has always had long hair. Most of her music videos during her Destiny's Child days was when she was wearing her natural hair. That is why she is now coming for the haters, because she knows she is genetically blessed.
Also, who could forget her BIG pixie chop in 2013? And in 11 years, her hair has managed to grow to the length it is now. This false narrative that black women can't grow healthy long hair is absurd and rooted in racism and hate.
Her hair has always been long.- it is great to see that she has maintain long and heathy hair
ReplyDeleteFirst off Beyonce is "Black" but we can look at her mom who is very mixed and see that she has European blood in her. Black people's hair grows up and out whence fros. Our hair does not grow down limp in length like the other races. So when you see a "Black" person with hair like that please refer to their lineage. For a mostly black individual to have flowing hair they'll have to relax their hair as our hair is naturally kinky.
ReplyDeleteSaying she's genetically blessed is actually racist because you our implying because of her Eurocentric blood and features that's she better than us regular black folk.
We need to love our hair and embrace our naps and stop trying to have things that are not genetically possible
Who cares?
ReplyDeleteFor real! Who cares? Why is this an article?
