Beyoncé will be receiving the iHeartRadio Innovator Award at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, taking place on April 1st. “Few artists in the course of history have taken creative risks, successfully transformed their music and influenced pop culture on the level that Beyoncé has,” a statement reads. Beyoncé is an evolving artist who isn't afraid to take artistic risks with her music.
Her influence and legacy can never be downplayed and such artistic risks are starting to pay off. Watching her artistic growth over the last two decades has been quite the journey. Although she is said to definitely attend, Beyoncé will not be performing at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles unfortunately. This doesn't make much sense given that her new album ‘Cowboy Carter’ would have dropped three days prior to the event. And she most likely won't attend either, despite the "confirmation." She will probably just pre-record a cute little thank you message. Beyoncé, as we know, is the queen of self sabotage. That said, her album will easily surpass 300K first week.

I think it makes perfect sense. She stated in her film she no longer feels she has anything to "prove". This is coming from the perspective myself being a 40ish, black, woman being born and raised in the South. Some decisions you have to make peace with prior to execution when it comes to entering other "spaces" because living as a black, girl in the south during your formative years leaves you with a certain perspective based on principle only, not accolades.
