"The Little Mermaid" star Halle Bailey always slays on the red carpet with her stunning sense of style. I always look forward to seeing her official appearances because she rarely disappoints, and last night was no exception. Halle showed up to the 2024 People’s Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California rocking archive Roberto Cavalli F/W 2003.
The dress literally looked like the ocean, and I think that was very much intentional since "The Little Mermaid" was nominated for Movie of the Year. The movie was trumped by "Barbie" of course, but that movie was quite the blockbuster, so although Halle was deserving, competition was always going to be stiff. Halle was also nominated for Female Movie Star of 2023, again eclipsed by Barbie's Margot Robbie. Lastly, "The Color Purple" was nominated for Dramatic Movie of the Year, but "Oppenheimer" got that too. Still, despite no wins, Halle had several personal wins of her own.
