Beyoncé makes historic moves with country bop "Texas Hold ‘Em’" as support increases...

Beyoncé's new song "Texas Hold ‘Em’" is getting support after select country stations refused to play it. The catchy bop has become the first song by a Black woman to place on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart this decade and in almost a decade, debuting at #59 after four days of tracking data. It becomes the first song by a solo Black woman to chart on the tally since Mickey Guyton’s ‘Heartbreak Song’ in 2016.

Interestingly, 2016 is the year Beyoncé was boycotted for singing "Daddy's Lessons" with country band Dixie Chicks at the CMA Awards. Some country fans criticized the performance, and according to The New York Times, some fans thought Beyoncé wasn't country enough. She was also criticized for her liberal-leaning politics, while others made racist comments. Oh how the tide has turned...
