Beyoncé becomes the first black female singer to put a country song on top of Spotify US and Apple Music US...

Oh look at Countryoncé serving! It's been exactly seven days since Beyoncé surprise dropped her country bop "Texas Hold ‘Em’" and it has been making serious waves. As it survives several country radio boycotts, the song is set to achieve Bey's biggest era yet.

And she gagged when she chose The Super Bowl to launch her new era, but it was a brilliant marketing strategy despite poor Usher being overshadowed during a time which should have been his moment. Oh well. "Texas Hold ‘Em’"  hits #1 on US Spotify with 2.182 million streams and also rises to a new peak of #2 on the global chart with 5.26 million plays. The is now the #1 song in the US on 4 music platforms (#1 on Apple Music, #1 on iTunes, #1 Spotify and #1 on Amazon.) As a result, Beyoncé is the first black female singer to put a country song on top of Spotify US and Apple Music US. The tune precedes her new album ‘Act II,’ which drops on March 29th.
