People always want to do damage control and apologise for their foolishness when their careers are at stake and they risk getting cancelled. But what’s left to cancel on a career that is now washed up? Timbaland for instance, jumped on TikTok Live to serve up a half assed apology after encountering severe backlash for saying his pal Justin Timberlake should have muzzled Britney Spears for speaking her truth. The apology was very insincere. That man meant every word when he referred to her as “crazy” and trying to “get attention.” We're still calling Britney Spears "crazy" in 2023? Nobody is buying it. Timbaland is only backtracking because he didn’t expect all the backlash and her fans got in his ass hard. The fact that he used TikTok to issue the sham apology to HIS FOLLOWERS instead of a full-on video apology to Instagram for everyone to see just shows how tone deaf he still is to the situation. He certainly learned today that men cannot be misogynistic in 2023 and get away with it like they did in the early 2000s. Let's encourage respectful conversations.
