Mariah Carey has been ahead in lighting like Beyoncé has been in wig technology. Matter of fact, it's just one of those things that's synonymous with thee Mariah Carey. So of course she was grateful for the props Britney Spears sent her way. On Thursday November 2nd, the Queen of Christmas (who also appears in the new Victoria's Secret holiday campaign and is preparing to embark on a holiday tour this month) appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live. She was asked by host Jimmy Kimmel if she knew what Britney had written about her in her new memoir "The Woman in Me." Kimmel began reading an excerpt where Britney complimented her for being one of the first to use ring lights 20 years ago. Kimmel then asked Mariah to verify whether or not she actually had a ring light back in 2003. “Of course I had a ring light,” she replied. Kimmel made it known that Britney mentioned Mariah teaching her everything she knew about lighting. Mariah added: “That’s super sweet, what Britney said about me.” Mariah’s lighting needs are partially the reason why "I" learned about lighting and now I know how to connect with my "good side". Also, I love that Britney knows how powerful the name ‘Mariah Carey’ is as a whole.
