For almost 30 years, ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ has been the pinnacle of every Christmas for many. Hearing it get played at malls, at fast food and retail joints just brings out that little excitement about Christmas arriving in the coming weeks. What a gift it is to have THEE Mariah Carey gifting a performance of the holiday classic to an awards show for the very first time, 30 years after its debut. As well as performing at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards in California over the weekend, she was also honored with the Billboard Chart Achievement Award for the song. The award was presented to her by her 12-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan. We have to appreciate the legends while we still have them.
