Halle Bailey's career just goes from strength to strength. And though the main focus has been solely on her acting, the music side is getting some recognition too! Last night, the Grammy nominations were announced and Halle found out she bagged her first Grammy nomination as a solo artist. The nod is for her single "Angel," which was nominated in the "Best R&B Song" category. The actual song itself received little to zero promotion and there was never a live performance. It just... kind of drifted away.
Why am I a little miffed about Disney not submitting “Under The Sea” featuring Sebastian? She did the damn thing in "The Little Mermaid" despite all that, uncalled for, racial backlash. But there's more time to drop music that sticks, because this week, Halle was in the studio recording something with Missy Elliott. As for the Grammy nod, that is still a big deal. Good for her!
.@HalleBailey I had a blast in the stu with Halle!!!

She actually does have one live acoustic performance of Angel on YouTube. I’m very happy she’s been nominated tho. I genuinely really like the song. I just hope Chloe gets the hint and releases some music with substance her next go around.
