A lot of her fans have waited such a looong time for Doja Cat to embark on a solo tour so when she finally got round to doing one, they expected her to pull out all the stops. Last night, she kicked off her first-ever arena headlining tour on Halloween night at Chase Center in San Francisco.
The "Scarlet" tour, which supports her latest album of the same name, showcased her rapping abilities while performing most of Scarlet's numbers for the first time ever. Sadly, there was a major lack of costume changes, minimal choreo, lack of crowd engagement and she held back on performing many of the fan favorites that made her famous. The 90-minute set list, performed to a full house of 14,000 fans, included “Say So,” “Woman,” “Attention,” “Get Into It (Yuh),” “Kiss Me More,” “Agora Hills” and her current hit, “Paint the Town Red.” Doechii was the opening act. Despite her several shortcomings, she did appear to have fun putting on a spooky show, and it's never too late to make certain changes and revise the setlist.
