An NFL insider reportedly tells the Daily Mail that the sexual abuse allegations surrounding Lizzo has prompted the Super Bowl organizers to immediately drop her from the Halftime Show consideration. Apparently, her name was in the mix as one of the front-runners for the 2024 spectacle.
The story going around now is, "Jay-Z drops Lizzo from his festival AND The Super Bowl!" In case anyone didn't know, the Super Bowl performances are produced by Roc Nation, the record company owned by the 53-year-old rapper. The real story? Lizzo was never considered for the show because she only has three big hits ("Truth Hurts", "About Damn Time", and "Good as Hell"). The media are clearly starting a smear campaign against her to make it look like her career is toast. On the other hand, let's just, for a moment, entertain the possibility that this could be true. This just puts further emphasis on the blatant racism, sexism and misogyny. Janet Jackson was banned by the NFL for years despite Justin Timberlake being the one to expose her pierced nipple. She was blackballed. Her career suffered terribly. Timberlake's career only went from strength to strength. Dr Dre has a history of beating women. However, was allowed to perform at the Super Bowl. R. Kelly married Aaliyah at 15. Video evidence showed him performing sexual acts on minors. But his career remained unaffected.
Sadly, once a woman loses her reputation, it is very difficult to regain it. Men on the other hand, get pardoned so easily. We're living in a man's world where there are a different set of rules for both sexes.

Defending Lizzo is not the hill to die on. People who take advantage and abuse other people should be canceled. I don't care what race or gender they are.
White people and men who do this need to be punished, just like everyone else. We don't need to let abusive people off the hook to get even.
However, this is different from me saying Lizzo actually did what they said. If it's proven false, then she deserves to continue her career.
Those incidents are 20-30 years old, I think if they happened today it would be a different response.
These are allegations that have yet to be disputed or verified in a court of law. If her career still suffers after being cleared, then of course we will know what time it is.
