Don't you just love it when a tweet doesn't age well? Five years ago, Normani tweeted that she had a title for her debut album. Five years on and the album and it’s title have yet to be announced or released. Many of her fans were in college when she tweeted such news. In 2023, they have walked across the stage, got their degrees and became university graduates. They moved on. They gave up. Her team and record label have done the same. Normani's former bandmates are trailing past. Camila Cabello has released two albums during that time span and Lauren Jauregui has just dropped an EP. No one can understand why Normani wouldn’t have dropped at least an EP while we waited for the album. Is she in a bad deal or something? Normani has dropped a few singles that were cute for a while but now it’s just like, what are we doing? Her birthday is today, and she is three years shy of 30. We get that RCA always f*cks over great talent but one of her downfalls is that she will repeatedly tease the album year after year, does an impromptu photoshoot for Instagram and then... disappears.
We always root for the good sis. Dark skinned women do not get nearly enough support in the industry and of course it would have been nice for a dark skinned pop girl like her to break the mould.

She‘s probably stripping on an old mans yacht right now, as she has become a certified video and insta vixen during the last couple years.
Wild side was released in July 2021. They should have released her album September 2021 after her VMAs performance.
I think she has given up and it is kinda sad. While I would have enjoyed to see what she has to offer... I think there are things that may be preventing her from releasing her work.
Outside of Camilla, who was clearly positioned to break free, Normani has been the 2nd most successful from the group... and that says a lot. Lauren went indie for her record, nothing from Dinah Jane in years, Ally dropped a few singles but no major success.
I remember she stated she wanted to be home with her mom since the cancer is back again and she feels the music can wait due to her family needs her first. I hope everything is okay it’s sad ppl forget this part just to rip her apart smh
