In a new TikTok video, Ariana Grande has asked fans to be "gentler and less comfortable" about remarking on her body. Her comments come after fans voiced concerns that her dramatic weight loss could mean her eating disorder has returned.
She says they were "comparing my current body" to "the unhealthiest version of my body". Ariana says she was on a lot of antidepressants, drinking and eating poorly during the lowest point of her life when she looked the way people considered healthy. She goes on to say folks never know what someone is going through. Even if folks show concern, she notes that the person is probably working on it or has a support system that they are working on it with. Unfortunately, she did not address her problem at all. She pretty much skirted around the issue and so, more questions are going to be asked. Of course an anorexic person who doesn’t like being at a healthy weight is going to refer to their healthy weight as their “most unhealthy body.” That right there is the problem. It seems she is hinting that she may have a problem but wants people to stop commenting because she "might" be "working on it." People are not trying to be mean when they say her weight loss looks bad. As an A-List star who is one of the most talked about women in the world, if her appearance has reason to cause concern, people are going to have an opinion whether she likes it or not. Hopefully, that support system is truly put in place.
These pics from her recent appearance in London is what shocked fans the most:
