The power of Tiktok and timing! Three weeks ago, The Weeknd’s work wife Ariana Grande shared a Tiktok of herself recording a verse for The Weeknd’s ‘Die For You’ remix. Within hours of release, her verse went viral on the social media app! The song was originally released in 2016 and has topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2023. In the lead up to its historic charting, the song generated 32.4 million Stateside streams, 14,000 digital downloads and 81.1 million audience impressions in radio airplay. Multiple versions of the song being available at a discount of 69 cents also served as a booster. Look at that. Abel really has found his meal ticket.
