Last night saw Beyoncé make Grammys history by becoming the most awarded artist in history with 32 wins! At the time of writing, she had already won gongs honoring Best Dance/Electronic Recording for ❝Break My Soul❞ and Best Traditional R&B Performance for ❝Plastic Off The Sofa.❞ However, she went on to win Best R&B Song for ❝Cuff It❞ and Best Dance/Electronic Album for ❝Renaissance.❞ She surpasses Hungarian-British orchestral and operatic conductor Georg Solti for the honor beating out his 31 wins. In her acceptance speech, she thanked the queer community for inventing electronic/dance music. She also dedicated her historic win to her HIV battling gay uncle Johnny who later succumbed to his illness. She got emotional. She felt honoured to help get house music further recognition and national notice. ❝Renaissance❞ not only opened up her old-school fanbase to the genre but it scored her a region of new fans too. It's just too bad she lost out on Album of The Year to an actual queer-baiter, but that's a whole other topic.
