Normani's debut solo album keeps getting pushed back repeatedly. She has only put out eight songs since 2018, and despite repeated claims that the album is coming, fans have only wound up being severely disappointed. In a recent interview, producer Harv ('Peaches' & 'Fair') revealed that Normani is wrapping up her debut studio album. He described their next couple of songs as “uptempo dance” and “what people are expecting from her.” He also goes on to say he and Normani are being “very smart” with the music approach. How about we revisit this in a year and see whether or not such remarks age well.
Definitely not being smart with the approach. You don't even need to wait a year to find that out because we know it already. Normani has lost all the momentum she had since Wild Side. And Fair came out around the beginning of year so that most certainly hasn't helped things either.
I may be alone in this way of thinking BUT, Normani built her brand on social media & with endorsements(SavageXFenty) before her MUSIC ACTUALLY CONNECTED with the GENERAL PUBLIC & it shows!
But hey, she got "the bag" & that's all that matters!
