When your past comes back to haunt you. A planned Chris Brown performance at the AMAs was abruptly blocked by Disney/ABC because higher-ups were “unaware” that Brown was “a convicted domestic abuser.” Executive producers Jesse Collins and Stephen Hill were working with Brown and his team on a medley of Michael Jackson hits with Ciara and others in tribute to the 40th anniversary of 'Thriller.' Brown previously served time for beating up his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
On top of that, Brown's other ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, who had a 5-year restraining order against him, also presented last night. She previously revealed that during their turbulent relationship, he was also physically abusive towards her. She alleged that when they were together, Brown punched her in the stomach and pushed her down the stairs. Are we actually believing that Disney did not know his past when it’s been public knowledge for over a decade?! Really? Why didn't they just let Ciara do the tribute on her own?
