While many of us were dreaming of tooth fairies 30 years ago, Madonna had released her fifth studio album ❝Erotica.❞ The project was released alongside her adult coffee table book, ❝Sex,❞ and peaked at #2 in the US. It was a concept album about sex and romance, incorporating her alter ego Mistress Dita, inspired by actress Dita Parlo. The album itself wasn't popular at the time of its 1992 release. However, it was a real game changer for female sexuality in pop music, also inspiring many artists to explore sexuality through their music!
