❝It made me sad how conservative and judgmental a lot of people were, and I was never coming on the scene to impose anything upon anyone. I just wanted to live my life and not conform❞ - Christina Aguilera
In a brand new interview with Rolling Stone to commemorate the 20th anniversary of her album ❝Stripped,❞ Christina Aguilera recalls of early negative reactions where embracing her sexuality and endorsing a new, provocative image for the project were heavy. The pop icon even recalls a time where putting a hose between her legs for the ❝Can't Hold Us Down❞ video caused such an issue it had to be pixelated!!! If this was done today, it would be scoffed at as ❝so dumb❞ she admits. She also acknowledges that what was censored back then would no longer be a thing today. Madonna certainly agrees. She too went through a similar phase with ❝Erotica❞ and her ❝Sex❞ book three decades ago.

Obviously. Look At where we are at now with all these slutty looking outfits and dancing. It’s normal now, back back then still a threat on society. How no one bashes her for taking from hip hop?
