Doja Cat won Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Female Artist and Top R&B Album for ❝Planet Her❞ at last night's Billboard Music Awards. But R&B fans are fuming that a real R&B artist like Summer Walker got snubbed in these categories. In her speech, Doja says, ❝There’s a lot of talented R&B artists out there right now. You have Summer Walker, you have SZA, you have The Weeknd… Everybody deserves this award.❞ She was trying hard to find the words to give them credit without looking ungrateful. The general consensus is that Doja doesn't have one real R&B song despite being remarkably versatile. Is she getting these awards simply for being ❝black❞ and singing sometimes?
