Mary J. Blige recently sat down with Elle magazine, discussing her role in next month's Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show on February 13th.She will be taking the stage alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar. As a result, she confirms to the magazine that she will only be able to perform one song. And of course she is thinking of performing the Dr. Dre-produced ❝Family Affair❞ off her 2001 album ❝No More Drama.❞ Back in 2001, Mary joined the halftime show alongside Aerosmith, *NSYNC, Britney Spears and Nelly, but only got to sing a few words in the background. Mary definitely deserves that Super Bowl shine and it is very smart of her to release her new album ❝Good Morning Gorgeous❞ two days before the big event. That is in deed some major promo! It doesn't really need to be said that Mary is a legend. She should be headlining her own show! It's not like she doesn't have the respect and iconic discography to qualify. Having such an amazing discography reduced to one song is simply not the business. You just know Mary and her erratic, Gumby-style dance moves would provide the entertainment alone!

Mary recently dropped a (very underwhelming) new song from the project, called ❝Rent Money❞ featuring Dave East:
