Rihanna set to host another Met Gala afterparty in New York next Monday...

Rihanna is reportedly teaming up with hospitality bigwig Richie Akiva to host their Met Gala annual afterparty following Monday's event on September 13th. She already hosted parties at his clubs 1OAK and Up & Down in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018. The fashion party scene took a major hit during the pandemic, and Rihanna is now keen to bring it back this year. 

Does this also mean Rihanna may even put in an appearance at the main event (alongside Beyoncé allegedly?) We totally need Rihanna to save the Met Gala. Her appearance can very well salvage the ruins of Anna Wintour's annual event since it is now losing its prestige. The Met Gala has never quite been the same without her.
