Doja Cat’s theatrics VMAs performance of ❝Been Like This❞ was really just okay...

Interpretive dance is great when done correctly. Those that aren't a fan of acrobatic performances can still find them enjoyable to an extent. It's probably why I found Doja Cat's VMAs performance of 'Been Like This' underwhelming. P!nk definitely does them best, but something about this one didn't quite resonate, although she was clearly going for moody and wanted it to have meaning. It did get better once she touched down, but she's definitely had better award show performances. The lip syncing was also unnecessary. 

 

Even her recent 'Made In America' set faired a lot better than this one.
