JoJo says streaming Blackground’s release of her first two albums won’t support her...

Blackground Records are about to make a sh*tload of coins from the Aaliyah and JoJo streams. And JoJo isn't happy about it. Earlier today, the label announced that JoJo’s original studio albums 'JoJo' and 'The High Road' would be available on all major streaming services from September 24th. JoJo tells fans that streaming the original albums won’t support her since Blackground will be the only ones profiting. She says streaming the re-recorded 2018 versions would benefit her instead. For those needing a recap, JoJo was kept hostage and locked into a messy contract with Blackground during a time when they weren’t even a functioning label. She was fighting with them for over a decade before she was able to get out of her contract. In 2018, she re-recorded her entire catalog.
