Chloe Bailey tells Billboard that her album is “90% done.” The project, which she defines as “definitely more pop,” is being narrowed down from around 50 songs. She goes on to assert that she's creating her own lane, as well as paying homage to the ones who have inspired her.
The 23-year-old is gearing up to debut her upbeat lead single, 'Have Mercy' at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 12th. Chloe is very talented and releasing a more pop-leaning album is probably what she needs to do to get ahead of the game. It's nice to see that her label is giving her their full backing and man power. Chloe's VMAs performance is wildly anticipated.

I hope Chloe doesn't go TOOOO pop, but I have faith in her. The VMA performance should be a good measuring stick. I know she's gonna slay the performance regardless.
