In a rare interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Beyoncé confirmed that she is working on new music. “I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half,” she said. “Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies. Still, there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio.” She adds, “After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!”
The music is coming, but will the music be any good, or will folks be telling her to go back to the drawing board? What is defined as good music or what is considered to be Bey's best work is all subjective of course, and a matter of preference. In less than a month, she will be 40, so sonically and lyrically I can only hope to hear some growth and progression as she enters into a new decade of her life. In other words, no more trapyoncé, or I will hurl. Curious though, when she does release new music, what sound from a previous era would you like her to revisit?

I'm excited for it! Not a fan of "rap-Bey", but a huge fan of her singing, so I can't wait!
We need DIL but more mature. She should get in the studio with legends like Quincy Jones and and Stevie Wonder.
I'm so done with the trap songs too, however, I'll admit I like her trap music better than Future & Migos & unlike them she performs it. But yeah, I agree that she's 40 now & the trap sound has run it's course in my opinion. Time to do something else.
She stepped into some interesting sounds on her last two solo albums so I have faith. I really enjoyed All Night from Lemonade, and Haunted, Blow, and Rocket from Beyoncé. I just don’t want her to be as serious and intense as shes been on these last two side projects. I’m miss fun Beyoncé with a vocal moment here and there 😄
Just bring the Bday Sound & 4 sound back. THose were fun days. It is always so serious nowadays with her.
