No one likes seeing Mary J. Blige in pain. However, such pain delivered some of her best work ever in 'My Life.' Mary has an upcoming documentary about the intimate creation of her classic record, which she says was one of the "darkest times she's ever had." Her 1994 sophomore album dealt with topics such as clinical depression, her battle with drugs and alcohol, and being in an abusive relationship. It’s one of her most introspective and personal albums ever, and solidified her place in the industry as the Queen of Hip Hop-Soul.
Mary’s 'My Life' documentary hits Amazon June 25th. A trailer has been posted below.
