The resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement brought further recognition to Juneteenth (June 19th). However, the holiday, which commemorates the end of slavery in the U.S, has always been celebrated in the Knowles household. Tina Knowles-Lawson, business woman and mother to Beyoncé and Solange has teamed up with Facebook to help the country celebrate it. She says it is an honour to be black and she instilled those very messages during her children's upbringing. On June 19th, 2020, Beyoncé released pro-black anthem, 'Black Parade.'
