The Federal Communication Commission received around 80 complaints from CBS viewers who deemed Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s 'WAP' performance at Sunday's Grammy Awards as offensive, obscene, and pornographic.
They were criticised for their stripper-inspired outfits and overly sexualised routine.
The controversial performance showed the pair scissoring each other’s WAP’s on a giant bed with striped polls all around them on CBS prime time.
Viewers are even wondering how Dr. Seuss's books have been banned while Cardi is allowed to sing about her dripping genitals on national television.I'll admit it was a bit out of place for a Grammy performance. Certain shock value is often reserved for a show like the VMAs (see Madonna and Britney kiss.) But in all honesty, 80 complaints is nothing compared to Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" at the 2004 Super Bowl - which drew a staggering 540,000 complaints.
Let's just say Cardi and Meghan are going to have to try a little harder next time. Ha.

She's doing way too much on Twitter defending this performance, which was pretty lackluster to me. She's becoming annoying, and I'm very much a fan.
