Speaking to BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, an adamant Del Rey continues to address alleged criticisms of her album cover regarding racial inclusivity. “I’m mentioning all this to people who are listening because people really wanted even more people of color on my album cover.”
Adding that “actually half the people in this photo are people of color.”
The so-called controversy was seemingly started and fanned only by her.

She went on to say, “I just feel like if that’s really what people are gonna say, I have an answer for them, which is that if you look closer, you will see people of color.”

This could very well be a strategic play on her part just to get people talking about her album. 'Chemtrails Over the Country Club' drops March 19th, and a video for the title track premiered yesterday.
