Azealia Banks attacks Rihanna (again) in latest rant directed at Savage x Fenty.

For the gazillionth time, Azealia Banks attacks Rihanna and her lingerie line Savage x Fenty on social media.

Sharing a series of IG stories, Banks goes in on Rihanna's brand for poorly representing black women, the negative practices associated to fast fashion and those who promote it. Not entirely sure why she cares how black women are represented, when she was promoting skin bleaching products and encouraging black women to do that. But hey ho, here we are. Actually, there's so much I wanted to address in regards to this rant, but there really isn't enough hours in the day...

Secondly, even though the term "Savage" is believed to have
racial and historical undertones, Azealia's slant on it is a reach in terms of modern context. One of Rihanna’s last hits was 'Needed Me,' which features the line, “Didn’t they tell you I was a savage?...” The term has become slang for "badass" and "boss" (for instance, Megan Thee Stallion's biggest hit 'Savage' uses the same context.) Rihanna's DGAF attitude pretty much reinforces that. It's not a play on some colonizer definition of the word. It's about attitude, and daring to be confident, a woman not allowing her sexuality to be policed. Branded to represent the "edgy, carefree, and sexy woman." Not everything is a conspiracy, but if Azealia wasn't so busy with her blood rituals of sacrificing chickens, she'd realise that.
