Britney Spears has lost her bid to have her father axed from being her conservator. Judge Brenda Penny has decided not to suspend him during yesterday's court hearing, saying it can be discussed later on “down the road.” Her lawyer Samuel D. Ingham says Britney will not perform again as long as her dad Jamie Spears remains in charge of her career.
“My client has informed me that she is afraid of her father. She also stated that she will not perform as long as her father is in charge of her career. We are really at a crossroads.”
There has however been a small victory. Britney’s petition for Bessemer Trust has been GRANTED by Judge Penny, and they will begin to act as co-conservator of Britney’s estate. The next hearing is scheduled for December 16th.
This threat is SERIOUS and severely needed! Good on Britney.
It puts MAJOR pressure on her father to step down if Judge Penny doesn't act later on down the line. We now know that if Britney never performs again, or releases another album, her father would be held accountable for derailing her career. And of course this would make him the most hated man of today. Shiest.
