Alicia Keys' eighth new album
'Alicia' entered the US Billboard 200 chart at #4. Unfortunately, the album has now registered a drop of 104 places, falling to number 108. Some people think Alicia is finished. Her music is not that good anymore. The record buying public are not buying into her mediocrity, and her songs just aren't resonating. AK can now be considered more of a touring artist, but since no one can go on tour right now, she may as well just have another baby like everybody else.
I don't really think Alicia's brand took a hit. I mean, I like her hosting the Grammys & I thought people liked her as 1 of the judges of The Voice. Her catalogue is still solid also.

ReplyDeleteLast song I liked was Sleeping with a broken heart. Nothing since then sounded intersting to me.
ReplyDeleteHer music doesn’t have the Soul it had the first few albums. Not to mention her voice isn’t as strong as it once was. Tried to get into the new album but I only like one song 🤷🏾♂️

ReplyDeleteI loved her first 4 albums but starting from girl on fire every album got worse. The only song on the new album that kind of reminds me of the good old Alicia is "love looks better." I'm afraid her best time is over..
