Toni Braxton's 'Spell My Name' album almost didn't chart...

Island Records deserves to be royally boycotted. They seemingly left Toni Braxton to dry. Dust to dust, ashes to ashes. They dropped that album with ZERO promotion knowing full well that it was going to be certified triple sewage water.

What were they thinking?!

'Spell My Name' debuted at #163 on the Billboard 200 with 7K SPS. Horrible numbers. This is her first album to debut outside the top 50. Tamia, who releases independently, is nowhere near as established as Toni is and still manages to do a lot better than this. Toni is definitely capable of much more.

I liked Dance but the rest of the album was okay. I can understand that they didn't know what to do with this album. It has one potential hit, Dance. But the rest not so much.

A lot of people don't even know she has an album out. I'm affraid the whole situation with Tamar didn't help either.

A shame, she could've done so much better.

It is such a shame to see someone like Toni do so bad. I have to be honest i cant go past track four on the album because its just not grabbing me. I really love Gotta move on but its just not enough. But no promo at all is just sad. I did not even see 1 interview about the album, just read about the story where she wished she had more sex when she was younger
