Adele is currently facing backlash for wearing a Jamaican flag bikini, and bantu knots in tribute to canceled Notting Hill Carnival festivities. As someone who is half Jamaican, I was not offended by the photo or consider it to be cultural appropriation. A lot of white people go to carnival. They pay tribute to it in their own way, and no one bats an eyelid.
