Beyoncé is an African-American woman who has always openly embraced her blackness. Unfortunately, that hasn't stopped critics claiming she is “appropriating” African culture with her upcoming visual album, 'Black Is King' (due July 31st via Disney+). Not quite understanding how anyone can “appropriate” a culture that's instilled in them naturally. It's not like she's Jennifer Lopez or Justin Timberlake. Her mother Tina Knowles-Lawson is standing up for her daughter, and slams those very critics in a very impassioned Instagram post below.
