I love these type of stories when talented artists defy the odds and shut down their critics! It must not have been a nice feeling as a teenage girl trying to make it in a completely different country and having that type of negativity thrown your way. The first single is always a gamble for any new artist. But one of the reasons why Rihanna is so successful today is because she has never been afraid of evolving and reinventing herself.
