Babyface &. Teddy Riley's 'Verzuz' battle breaks Instagram Live viewership record.

Babyface and Teddy Riley's Verzuz beat battle took place on Instagram Live last night. Two of the most renowned figures in modern and oldschool R&B took turns spinning their respective classics, to the delight of music fans across social media.

The live event appeared to have attracted all of the black celebrities and powerhouses. Even Mariah Carey and Michelle Obama checked in. The engagement was so huge, it broke the Instagram Live viewership record with a staggering 512k viewers.

Babyface was serving stories behind each of his classics, while smoking out poor Teddy and throwing subtle shade in the process. I got my life from it. Teddy's constant technical issues was on some dial up connection mess. This was a rematch, so I'm not sure why he was not better prepared for it. Jokes aside, Babyface and Teddy Riley are living legends that shaped the soundtrack of 80s and 90s R&B. Both of their catalogues painted my childhood/teen years wholeheartedly. We are sooooo lucky to still have them here today.
