On March 3rd, Boris Johnson boasted that he had shaken hands with coronavirus patients. Fast forward to March 27th (today), and the British Prime minister announces he has contracted the deadly infection, which has so far killed a thousand people in the UK.
Boris has constantly chastised people for flouting social distancing guidelines, but as a leader he has failed to practice what he preaches. Although he has been widely criticized for reacting slowly to the pandemic, I want him to recover. I want him to recover so that he can do the job he has been appointed to do and that the British people can all go back to living normal lives again. I hope all goes well with his girlfriend and her pregnancy.
