First Rihanna asked Normani to dance at her Savage X Fenty runway show this past September, and now she's signed Normani as Savage X’s first ever brand ambassador.
It's refreshing to see Normani as the original Savage girl, but it's also important that her music doesn't take a backseat. As a debuting solo artist, it would just be unethical only to see photoshoots from her and not much else. Music needs to be a priority at this point.
Rihanna can afford to abandon her music career. She is a global power brand, a successful pop star with eight HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL albums, an entrepreneur and a never-ending money-making machine. It took almost 15 years.
Rihanna can upset her fans Nicki Minaj-style and say she won't be releasing another album in a while because she is ready to have babies with Hassan, and it wouldn't hurt her, AT ALL. She's made. Can you imagine the meltdowns? Lol.
Normani on the other hand?
Is it premature to assume the extended nature of Normani’s working relationship with Rihanna could possibly mean no new music from either of them any time soon? Then again, 2019 isn't over just yet, and anything can happen... at this point.
