Debut album slated for early 2020
I suppose a pop chick hasn't utilized that wholesome pop machine until they've done the blonde, even if it's not really for them. Blonde on
Normani washes out her beauty, and although a darker shade would have been more complimenting, dark tresses will always be this young woman's forte. Anyway, she looks good nonetheless in her photoshoot for
V’s Winter issue (on newsstands now.) She reflects on her star-powered ascendance and her debut album, which she reveals will be released in early 2020. An album, which she promises will be Normani uncovered:
“I am definitely going to be prioritizing real-life experiences and making sure it’s my truth—me as a woman, right now,” she emphasizes. It “will finally [allow] people. . .to get to know the real me, the real Normani.”
I hope we do get to see the real Normani, because the
Beyoncé parallels have been quite strong and I know the comparisons get on her nerves. So once she comes out with an album that portrays Normani in her own person, maybe then people will see her in a different light and not just Beyoncé-lite.
