Fans took to social media in droves to criticize the sound issues in the stadium as they could barely hear the songs. Many of them even walked out after paying a whopping £146 for tickets. Now you know Victoria Beckham is sitting there at home just thankful she made the decision not to be apart of this farce. A frustrated Mel B addressed the criticism by uploading a video to Instagram where she admitted to the sound and vocal problems. She said, "hopefully the vocals will get better!" I laughed. As much as I lived for the Spice Girls during my teenage years, the group were never known for their vocal talents. I loved them because their songs were very catchy, they had quirky personas and represented strong, influential messages. They were a positive influence to young girls like myself back then.
The nationwide 13-date tour, which will see the band perform in Cardiff, Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol and London wraps on June 15th. I hope they used some of that girl power to ensure their sound engineers get their acts together for the remaining dates. They don't want to go down as some washed up 90s girl band that couldn't deliver a solid reunion tour.
