This week, the NFL
denied reports that Janet Jackson has been banned from the
Super Bowl halftime show.
When she performed with Justin Timberlake over a decade ago, she took the full brunt of the blame for nipplegate, even though it was JT's hand that did the exposing. Yet... he was allowed to walk away from the scandal totally unscathed. As matter of fact, he went out of his way to distance himself from Janet and the entire situation completely. Sadly, he had failed to speak up for her where it mattered most, and chose to play the "victim" card. I'm now reading reports that she's "open" to performing with him at next year's halftime show.
Personally, I don't think I could do it. Yes, he (kinda) apologized but her music career took quite a battering. Meanwhile, it took him years to acknowledge his wrongdoing after the incident was long forgotten about.
Having said that, would you be here for it?
