Epic Records have announced they are recommitting to a brand new Mariah Carey album, which will be out “later this year.”
In the statement, Ms Carey adds: “I am putting my heart and soul into making more new music. I am so thrilled for this next chapter and to continue working with, and for, everyone that I love.”
Good. Let's bring the focus back on the music please, because prior to reports that she's split up with her back-up dancer Bryan Tanaka, no one was really buying that car crash of a "relationship" anyway. Dude served his purpose. In related news, Mariah shot a brand new music video with her former collaborator Busta Rhymes, directed by Chris Robinson. Could this be for the lead single? Only time will tell.
