Beyoncé tops Grammy nominations + 'Daddy Lessons' gets rejected

Beyoncé got a leading nine Grammy nominations on Tuesday followed by Rihanna and Drake with eight nods each.
Beyoncé recieved nods for album, song and record of the year, the top three Grammy accolades, for her hit song 'Formation' and visual album 'Lemonade.' She will also compete with Adele, the only other artist to be nominated for all three top awards. Bey will reportedly perform at the 59th annual Grammys ceremony on February 12th. It hasn't been all glorious tidings for the project. Bey submitted her twangy song 'Daddy Lessons' to the Recording Academy's country music committee, and they rejected it.

If the song had made it through, it would have been eligible for honours such as best country song and country solo performance. She performed the track at last month's Country Music Association Awards alongside the Dixie Chicks.
